BASALT IS AN EFFUSIVE MAGMATIC ROCK WHOSE COMPOSITION CAN BE VARIABLE. IT IS A MAGMA THAT HAS UNDERGONE A VERY RAPID SOLIDIFICATION IN CONTACT WITH AIR OR WATER. THIS KIND OF ROCKS NORMALLY CONTAINS SILICON (USUALLY IN PERCENTAGES RANGING BETWEEN 45 AND 55%).

THE SUBSTRATE IS BASED ON BASALTIC LAVA ROCK, CRUSHED AND GRINDED FINELY.

AFTER THE CRUSHING THE DUST IS REMOVED THROUGH SIEVES.  SUCCESSIVELY THE

SUBSTRATE IS WASHED WITH OXYGENATED WATER AND PERACETIC ACID.

GRANULOMETRY IS BETWEEN 1 AND 6 MILLIMETERS.

PRODUCTION PROCESS IS FOLLOWING:

  1. EXTRACTION OF BASALTIC LAVA ROCK BLOCKS
  2. CRUSHING BY MECHANICAL EXCAVATOR WITH PNEUMATIC HAMMER
  3. GRINDING IN QUARRY MILL
  4. WASHING IN TUNNEL FOR THE ELIMINATION OF DUST AND SOIL
  5. DRYING IN FAN TUNNEL
  6. NEXT WASHING WITH OXYGENATED WATER AND PERACETIC ACID
  7. SECOND PASSAGE IN FAN TUNNEL
